If the document said an ultrasound and the baby was fine, then baby is probably okay. You should ask for a better answer as to why they were bleeding a lot, but - it's not normal. Go back and have a conversation with your doctor about what happened, why it happened, and if you do nothing to prevent it in future.
I want to trust with your doctor in this case. It's baby was fine in the United States, then the fine. Bleeding may "luck" and everything will be alright.
